Charles E. "Chuck" Thornburg, 68, passed away June 11, 2025. He was born December 17, 1956 in Akron, the son of the late Edwin and Betty Thornburg (Hillman). Chuck will always be remembered as a great man. He had a loving, caring, and generous nature about him. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, going fishing, and having a beer while watching all sports on TV. Chuck loved to travel with Debbe, especially to Jamaica! In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Mike Thornburg. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Debbe; son Chris (Brittany) Thornburg, sisters Caryn Sabistina, and Sue (Jeff) Cummings; step daughters Lesley (Brad) Foster, Afton Gray, grandchildren Harper, Cohen, Christopher, Donovan and Cora, nieces Julianne (Josh) Wells, and Lauren Sabistina; great niece Olivia and great nephew Cameron; aunts Rose Hillman and Karen Hillman, numerous cousins; many dear friends; and his cat "Peter". Per his wishes, cremation will take place. Private family services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Summa for their compassionate care.
