Perfect Description of Chuck:
" One of Charles's most remarkable traits was his unique ability to form meaningful connections-not only with his friends, but also with their children, whom he welcomed as part of his extended family"
Rest in Peace Chuck , you were
the Best!

Chuck ,
Was a great friend and neighbor . We met in Maplewood in the 70s. My boys were grade school , Chuck´s boys in junior high school. As two parents raising five boys we had great fun running the boys around the neighborhood and to their sporting events. We regularly cooked dinner on the grill , burgers, steak or chicken supplied by " Chicken Charlie".
We cooked and the boys would shoot hoops in the driveway . Next stop after dinner was that frightful command . Ok guys , let´s get to the homework.
Chuck was a great to all the neighbors kids and they him as well.
Chuck always knew how to motivate kids to contribute their time in
taking responsibility for chores around house. He supplied and lent the best tools to complete the task. On weekend Saturdays we painted our houses having a beer on the bottom of the ladder at the end of the day.
Chuck just had this wonderful outgoing personality to be a " social butterfly with the ability to communicate with everyone old and young alike. especially anyone that needed help Chuck was there. We fish together, traveled together and scheduled our famous Christmas parties. Chuck had great stories and great wit. I remember being at his father`s funeral just before they closed the casket. Chuck put a quart bottle of vodka in there next to his dad. I said "Chuck you know you could´ve bought a pint instead of that quart " with quick wit he responded "Hey Ter why not a Quart it´s a long trip!
Eventually, time passed and Chuck moved from Maplewood and all the kids in the neighborhood came to his side, and volunteered to help him muster out, but Chuck still connected with all.
Safe journey my friend until we meet again!

My most sincere condolences are sent to Douglas, Jeffery, and David. Charles loved his sons and their families, he was so proud of them all.
I have known Chuck since I was 15yrs.old. He and Sal were cousins, and quite a pair of characters!! They loved cars, hunting and cracking jokes......always....no matter the occasion. Chuck was very quick witted, and always lots of fun. I loved that he always called me on my birthday (he remembered!). He also would call and we would just reminisce about times, happy and sad, spent over the 70 years we were friends. I will miss those calls. All who knew him will miss him.
Sending my love to his sons, their wives and his grandchildren.
