Charles Watson Obituary
Charles was born Monday, February 11, 1946, in Beverly, a son of the late Flora Ella Watson Fuston. From the age of twelve, Charles' uncle and aunt, Silas and Edna Watson, raised him as their own son. On April 6, 2003, he was married to the former Mozella Ruth Scott who survives.
Also left to cherish Charles' memory are five children, Melissa Adkins, Regina Watson and companion, Jimmie Bodkin, Elmer "Fudgie" Watson and wife, Michelle, Fred Watson, and Caroline Henline and husband, Russell, two brothers, Jessie Watson and Junior Fuston, two sisters, Glenda Hedrick and Arlene Knick Haney, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and his blue heeler, Dakota.
Preceding Charles in death were two brothers, Bobby Fuston and Elmer Carroll Watson Sr., two sisters, infant sister, Carolyn Watson and Darlene Scott, and a son in law, Jesse Adkins.
Charles attended the schools of Randolph County and had worked for several area sawmills including Coastal Lumber and Myles Lumber. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and shooting guns.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Trinity Cemetery in Beverly at noon.
