Charles Don Wiggins

Charles Don Wiggins was born on October 31, 1940, to Carl and Geta Wiggins. He passed away on December 27, 2025, after a life marked by service, dedication, and family. On October 5, 1959, Charles married Marilyn Louise Leddon, later known as Marilyn Louise Wiggins. Together they shared many years of companionship and common interests, including clogging, sailing, fishing, and water skiing.Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy and supported the Vietnam War from the ship. He served aboard the USS Constellation, an aircraft carrier operating in the South Pacific. Over the course of his naval career, he completed extensive training and leadership development, including:

Leadership and Management Training, Training Wing Four, NAS Corpus Christi, Texas (FM), August 30-September 10, 1976. Cultural Expressions in the Navy, Training Squadron Thirty-One, NAS Corpus Christi, November 6, 1975. Career Information and Counseling School, NAS Corpus Christi, Texas, completed July 23, 1976. Charles was awarded several military honors, including: Fifth Good Conduct Medal for the period ending July 16, 1978. Meritorious Unit Commendation for the period of July 1, 1974 - June 30, 1975
After retiring from the Navy, Charles continued his service as a civilian employee at the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD).Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Wiggins; his parents, Carl and Geta Wiggins; his mother-in-law, Hazel Leddon; and his father-in-law, Braxton Leddon.
He is survived by his sister, Sandy Harris (Loren); his daughter, Vikki Sawyers (Gary); and his son, Gary Wiggins (Elizabeth). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael Luvaul, Tamara Grimaud, and Gary Wiggins II; his great-grandchildren, Kaidence Grimaud, Makayla Grimaud, and Hailey Grimaud; and his niece, Jennie Johnson.
