Donohue Funeral Home - West ChesterCharles Joseph Willimann Jr., age 88, died on the morning of November 1, 2025 at Chester County Hospital.
He was born on July 3, 1937 in Philadelphia Pa to Frances Kindregan and Charles Joseph Willimann Sr.
He grew up in Drexel Hill attending St Andrews grade school and West Catholic High School. After graduating from Villanova University in 1959, he honorably and very fondly served in the Air National Guard.
He raised his family and spent his final days in Westtown Township, Chester Country, Pa. Charlie spent his career working as an insurance professional, CPCU. His alliances included The Travelers, State Farm and VP at The Walsh Co. He went on to partner at Roehrs, Stanton, Willimann & Associates until his retirement.
Rowing for Villanova, summers in Ocean City NJ, handball with friends, sailing the Chesapeake from Rock Hall Md, walking Longwood Gardens, laughing at his personality-filled cats, enjoying a great Delaware County hoagie, listening to Jimmy Buffet or Frank Sinatra, and watching college and pro football kept him entertained. Charlie was known for his outgoing personality. He was funny. He was determined. He was opinionated. He was our rock. But mostly he loved and was loved.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Karen (nee Elizares) of 33 years; his children, Kimberlee Dever and her husband Michael of Thornton PA, and their children Mitchell, Matthew and Charley, Stacey Bloomer and her husband Charlie of West Chester PA, and their children Michelle and Stephen, Michael Willimann and his wife Penny of Alexandra VA, and their children Cole and Hannah, Bob Willimann and his wife Whitney of West Chester PA, and their children Brady and Bella; and his stepson, Tony Paleologus and his wife Ruthann of Cherry Hill NJ, and their son Grant. Charlie was predeceased by his youngest son Daniel, who had two children Ky and Mya. He also leaves his only sibling Anne Carney of Greensboro, NC and her 4 children, his nieces Kelly, Beth, Kathleen and nephew FJ.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday November 8, 2025 at 1:00pm at St Maximillian Kolbe Church in West Chester, PA.
