Charles L Wright Jr (Chuck) 82 years old of Syracuse, Utah passed away peacefully on Sunday March 9, 2025 after calling his children to tell them how much he loved them. He was born in Concord, NC on Aug 8, 1942.
He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather (Papa), great grandfather, and friend, he will be deeply missed.
Chuck was a member of the Air Force which brought him to Utah where he met the love of his life Charlotte. They were married June 20,1964. They were married 60 years.
He then went back to school and worked for Fred Meyer/Smith's Marketplace until he retired after 40 years.
Chuck was then able to turn his attention to his wood working which he loved to do and was very good at it.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Charlotte. His children: Tonya (Steve), Jody (Kimberly) Dayle (Mariann) and reunited in heaven with Rick. His grandchildren: Brandi (R.J.), Heather (Esmon), Candace, Braydon, Damon (Aleah), Zack, Kiarra (Mike), Lizzy (Kenny), Tryston, Ace, Poppy. Great-grandchildren: Jaxon, Chris, Celine, Ivy, Taryn, Catherine, Taylor, Nick, Seth, Ileya, Karson, Ryland, Kenley, Jude, Collin, Duncan, Derek, Katie & Lydia.
He was a valued volunteer of The Syracuse Museum. He was known to restore items for the museum along with make his wood art. Chuck and Charlotte were wonderful tour guides for the museum.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. 2 years ago he was sealed to his wife in the temple for all eternity. He enjoyed going to the temple to do his work there.
Chuck's Celebration of Life Services will be held on Monday March 17,2025 at the Huckleberry ward church 1285 S 2500 W Syracuse, Utah 84075 from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
