In Loving Memory of Charlia “Charlie” Reeves
August 16, 1968 – January 26, 2025
Columbus, Ohio
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charlia Reeves on January 26, 2025, at the young age of 56. A cherished daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and Granny. Charlia will be missed more than words could ever say.
She was the youngest of ten children, surrounded by family from start to finish. From the very beginning, she radiated joy and energy wherever she went. Her magnetic personality, free spirit, and passion for life made her the social butterfly of every room she entered, drawing people in with her warmth and kindness.
Charlia’s greatest pride and joy was being a Granny. Her love for her fourteen grandchildren was boundless and truly one of the most important parts of her life. They were her world, and the bond she shared with them was undeniable. Whether she was cheering them on at their games, spoiling them with homemade treats, or simply spending time together, Granny made every moment count. Her heart was full whenever they were near, and her impact on their lives will be felt for generations to come. Going to Granny’s house might as well have been a trip to Disneyland for our kids. It was a magical place filled with fun and family. The impact of their time spent with her is immeasurable and will live in their hearts forevermore. Charlie was also looking forward to being a Great-Grandmother to her first great-grandbaby, Oaklee. We are so thankful she was able to attend the baby shower before her passing.
Charlia was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Esther B. Jacobs; her beloved husband, Thomas Reeves; her brother Warren Jacobs and his wife Joyce, her brother Howard Jacobs; her sisters Octavia Slayton and Sue Clark; her sister Margie and her husband Jeff Clark; and her dear niece Sara. We can only imagine the welcome she received, and we know she is in good hands.
She is survived by her son Bradley Kantor and his wife Samantha, and their three children Hayden, Mason, and Kayla. Her daughter Brittney Bickham and her partner Jay Gunn, Brittney’s seven children Briee, Braylee, Brooklynn, Jaxson, Alayshia, Zuri, and Zendaya. Her daughter Whittney Lane and her husband Justin, and their four children Skyylar, Hailey, Marley, and Emiley. In addition, she leaves behind her sister Tammi Snodgres with her husband Steve. Brothers Keith Jacobs, Mitch Jacobs, and Daniel Jacobs, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who held a special place in her heart.
Charlia’s family was her world, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In her memory, we celebrate the vibrant life she lived. A life full of love, laughter, and the kind of connection that will never fade. Her free-spirited nature and unwavering love will continue to guide and inspire us all.
