Charlie E. Burdette, 81, of Chesapeake, VA, passed away on January 4, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on August 5, 1944, in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of the late Ernest Eugene and Lorretta Mae (Barrett) Burdette.

On June 13, 1963, Charlie married Rae Lee, his "Bride" as he so lovingly called her. Together, they celebrated 62 beautiful years of marriage.

He retired from CRW Parts Inc. Where he delivered automotive parts throughout Hampton Roads and North Carolina.

Charlie cherished his role as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His family was his pride and joy, and he leaves behind a treasure trove of fond memories.

He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Holly Lee (Burdette) Winslow, his brothers, Ernest (Jr) and Leroy (Buddy), and his four sisters, Geraldine Smith, Evelyn Escue, Martha White, and Elizabeth (Libby) Gardner.

Surviving him are his devoted wife, Rae Lee (Pannell) Burdette; daughter, Amber (Burdette) Harrell and her husband, Tony; his cherished grandchildren, Christopher Winslow, Jade Winslow and wife, Aubrey, Chance Winslow, Bailey Harrell, Gillian (Harrell) Barnstable and husband, Paul, and Cooper Harrell; and his adored great-grandchildren, Barry Harrell, Amelia Winslow, and Marlene Barnstable. He is also survived by his brother, Sammy Burdette.

In keeping with Charlie's wishes, there will be no viewing or service.

May his memory be a blessing to all those who knew him.
