Charlie

We lost a great man, Charlie (Chuck) Pannage (53) on November 9, 2023. He was born Charles Moladen Pannage III on February 23, 1970, in Mountain Home, ID to Charles (Butch) Moladen Pannage Jr. and Karen Jean Hansen. He joined his older sisters, Jenifer Jean (Pannage) Sturm and Christine Elise (Pannage) Lehenbauer.
The family moved to Great Falls, MT soon after Charlie was born in 1970. They spent 11 years there before going to San Bernardino, CA in 1981 where Charlie spent 3 years of his schooling. In 1984, with Jeni and Chris out of the house, Charlie, mom and dad moved to Grand Forks, ND. In 1988 Charlie graduated from high school in ND. After high school he continued to spend summers at our family cabin on Flathead Lake. Then he went to Montana State University before going to Germany where mom and dad were living in 1989. Charlie moved back to Montana in 1990 where he spent most of his life.
Charlie was a free spirit who would get into one of his many questionable cars and take a drive. He would drive across the state or across the country to visit family and friends or as far as his car or cash would take him. His spontaneous spirt allowed him to live an adventurous lifestyle. His fascination with space encouraged him to drive to Cape Canaveral to see the space rockets take off. His adventurous spirited spontaneity would lead him on a whim to drive to Augusta, Monarch, Great Falls, Flathead Lake and various fishing spots throughout MT.
To support his adventures for the past 30 years Charlie was a poker dealer. In the poker community he met many friends that he stayed in contact with. Some of these people who are special and dear to him are his roommate of 6 years, Justin; his boss Raquel and Daryl; his friend and fishing buddy, Randy; numerous other friends and special girlfriends. He would never speak poorly about anyone unless they got out of line. Charlie loved his poker family and they loved him. The family wants to thank St. Vincent's Hospital/ Clinic and caregivers for helping Charlie over the past months with so much kindness.
Charlie's loving family includes his daughter, Morgan Taylor Pannage; his granddaughters, Madison and MacKenzie; his dad, Butch; his sister, Jeni and Evan Sturm; nieces Christine and Mike Kelso (Cohen, Madelyn, Maddox); Stephanie Sturm and Ryan Bejna; his sister, Chris and Steve Lehenbauer; nephew, Bailey and Macy Lehenbauer (Beau and Scotty); nieces Sadie and David Origer; Mollie and Michael Porter (Eleanor); Lizzie Lehenbauer; and beloved dog, Bruin. He also has his aunt, Barbara (Pannage) Stanfield, and numerous older cousins (as Charlie was the youngest of all the cousins). Charlie was preceded in death by his faithful dog, Monster; his mom, Karen Pannage, and numerous family members.
