Mr. Charlie Lee Thompson Jr. was born March 02, 1953, to Mary Lee Boose and Charlie Lee Thompson in Saginaw, MI.
Charlie was educated in the Saginaw public school system.
AS AN ADULT, HIS ROOTED JOURNEY
Charlie relocated to Detroit, MI, in 1988. He entered the workforce, retiring from General Motors, and thereafter was self-employed recycling precious metals.
Charlie enjoyed participating in bowling leagues and watching Football.
A TIME TO ANSWER HIS CALL
On Tuesday, December 03, 2024, God called Charlie home to a time of Rest and Reward. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Charlie Thompson III, and Anthony (Tina) Murphy; grandchildren, Tison Thompson, Darnell Williams, Antionette (Deont’e) Roston, Anthony Murphy Jr., Antwan Murphy; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Abby) Barnett; sisters, Sharon Bradley and Linda (Robert) Reid; former spouse, Roxanne Thompson; former in-laws, Shirley Terry, Rex Bridgewater, Troy Sr. (Larissa) Bridgewater, Cheryl (Bertram) Cole, and Sharon Bridgewater; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee Boose, father, Charlie Lee Thompson, and daughter Charlene A. Bridgewater
