Charlotte (Ferris) Casey died Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 93.
Born in New Brunswick to the late Philip N. and Janet M. (Karam) Ferris, she lived in North Brunswick before moving to Monroe Township in 1996. She received her bachelor's degree in 1950 from Rutgers University and worked as a compound pharmacist before becoming a residential real estate broker. She has worked for ERA Central Levinson in Monroe Township for the past 20 years. She was a member of the National Association of Realtors.
Mrs. Casey was a former communicant of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in North Brunswick where she was a member of the church council and steering committee.
She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence J. Casey in 1986; and by her brother Dr. Philip J. Ferris. Surviving are three sons – Laurence P. Casey and his wife Andrea of Monroe Township, Jack Casey and his wife BJ of New Canaan, Connecticut and James P. Casey and his wife Renee Wolf of Hermosa Beach, California; her daughter Carolyn J. Casey of Los Angeles, California; and seven grandchildren – Casey and Jessy Hoeschler and Nicole, Larry, Charlotte, Will and James Casey.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, June 16, 2023, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 AM Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Church, 185 Applegarth Road, Monroe Township. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
