CHARLOTTE ANN (SCARBERRY) DANIELS, 77, of Hurley, VA, went home to be with the Lord peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born December 8, 1947, in Paw Paw, KY, she was the daughter of the late Hubbert and Sylphia Thacker Scarberry. Charlotte was employed as a schoolteacher and a school bus driver for the Buchanan County School System for 37 years. Each child that she taught or rode her bus was thought of as her kids. She loved it when she saw one and they remember her as their teacher.
In 2016, Charlotte was diagnosed with cancer and suffered a stroke leaving her paralyzed but she still put her trust in the Lord and has been cancer free for 5 years. Charlotte was a dedicated Christian. She gave her life to the Lord in 1972 at the Kelsa Church of Christ where she is still a member. She taught Sunday school there for several years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband of 55 years, Teddy Daniels Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Deanna Sue (Greg) Estep of Hurley, VA; Grandson: Caleb Wade Estep of Hurley, VA; Brothers: Gary Scarberry of Paw Paw, KY, Larry (Mary) Scarberry of Hurley, VA, Ron (Debbie) Scarberry of Davin, WV, Jerry (Martha) Scarberry of Grundy, VA, Joe (Cara Lee) Scarberry of Tazewell, VA; Sisters: Allene (Bobby) Collins of Kimper, KY, Roberta Justus of Paw Paw, KY.
Also, survived by several nieces, nephews that she loved dearly and a very special friend and caretaker Sharon Dotson.
Visitation was held at the Union Light Freewill Baptist Church Friday and Saturday evenings at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
Funeral Services for CHARLOTTE ANN (SCARBERRY) DANIELS were conducted Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. at the Union Light Freewill Baptist Church with William Prater, Ronnie Hurley, Ervin Hurley and Tommy Conn officiating, entombment followed in Mountain Rest Mausoleum, Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.
Active Pallbearers were family and friends.
