Charlotte Graham, a loving daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of forty-three on October 10, 2024. She was born December 27,1980 and graduated from Sparta High school in 1999.
Charlotte cherished her family above all else. She was a devoted daughter to Doug and Judy Gilliam. She also shared a special bond with her uncle Mike. They spent countless hours together, swimming, sharing meals and stories, and laughter. She was a woman of deep faith and intellect. She was very fascinated with the human psyche, which drew her to the study of philosophy and religion at College of the Ozarks. Charlotte was very introverted with a kind heart and lots of love for all creatures, great and small. She especially loved our furry feline friends. When she visited her uncle Mike, she loved to play with Ali's cat; Merlin.
Charlotte's curious spirit led her down many paths, both literal and philosophical. She loved exploring the world on foot and found solace in the presence of nature. Here she could let her mind wander as freely as her feet, which she found quite meditative. One day, Charlotte felt the guitar plucking at her heartstrings, so she decided to "pic" up a new hobby. With the guidance of her talented father, she not only found out about the magic of the guitar, but she also realized she too was musically inclined. A woman of true talent and remarkable versatility, Charlotte passionately embraced every path she went down. From her musical journey, to attending her Presbyterian church, to going to school-Charlotte pursued everything wholeheartedly and with so much devotion.
Charlotte wove a web of wonder wherever she went. Like the spider in Charlotte's Web, who spun words of kindness and friendship, Charlotte had a way of making others feel safe and cherished. She would listen without judgment, offering comfort and support with a quiet strength. Her presence was the real present. With a quiet yet profound influence. Her gentle spirit and unwavering kindness left an undeniable impression on her friends and family, a legacy of love that will forever be woven into their hearts.
Charlotte Graham will forever be missed by her loving parents, Doug and Judy Gilliam; her aunt and uncle, Mike and Leslie Gilliam; her brother, Douglas Gilliam Jr.; her sister, Celeste Good; and a host of cousins and extended family.
A memorial visitation to celebrate Charlotte's web of life will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield. All who knew and loved her are more than welcome to attend.
Arrangements are under the compassionate direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri.
