Charlotte "Lil Bit" Masters transitioned to be with the Lord on Monday, June 2, 2025, at the University of Cincinnati Hospital, at the age of 66.
Born on September 28, 1958, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Charlotte was the beloved daughter of Levi and Annie Masters. She was educated in Cincinnati Public Schools and went on to work for Procter & Gamble and later as a dedicated bus monitor for Peterman Bus Company.
Charlotte was a joyful spirit who lit up every room she entered. She had a deep love for music and never turned down a game of her favorite card game, 5000. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, talking on the phone, and-most of all-spending quality time with her family and friends. Her warmth, humor, and unwavering strength left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She was always on the move-a busy woman with a heart full of purpose. Charlotte was known for always giving and always showing up. She was the family's trusted babysitter-whether you needed to head to work, attend school, enjoy a date night, or toss back a couple of shots, she was there. And if you needed a good cussing out, she had that covered too-unfiltered, but it came from the heart.
She was known by many names: "Momma", "Granny", "Auntie Momma", and "Lil Bit"-but "Granny" was her favorite. No matter the title, she wore it with pride and did an amazing job.
Charlotte also loved football season and was a devoted fan of her Cincinnati Bengals, cheering loud and proud every game day. She brought that same energy into her style, too. Everything she wore had to match, in her own way, even if it meant mixing different shades of the same color.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Ruby, Rose, Mattie "Cookie," Beverly, and Diane "Bay Bay"; brothers: Ozzie, Levi, Calvin, and Greg; daughter, Ronnetta; grandson, Nashawn; and nephews, Kejuan and Levi "Fat-Man."
Charlotte will always remain in our hearts and will be deeply missed. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children: daughter, Ronda Master (Nate); sons, Ronnie Master (Regina), Randy Master, Frederick Alexander (Shayna), Hosea Clark (Cara), and Carlos Clark; and Greco Scott, whom she lovingly helped raise. She is also survived by her dear sister, Diane Lindsey; nephew Freddie; a host of beloved grandchildren - Sha'Ronda, Eric, Javiela, Nathan, Zechariah, Kalip, Zy'Asia, Israel, Isaiah, Alissa, Normani, Imiri, Randy Jr., Hosea, Auri, Havier, Brooklyn, Amir, Camryn, Carlos, and Cane; special friends, Janice, Darlene, Lilly, Cheryl, and cousin Lisa; along with many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A true pillar, Charlotte planted countless roots filled with love, laughter, and joy. Her presence will forever be cherished. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and all the many lives she touched.
Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 26 W North Bend Road, Cincinnati (45216). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
Interment will follow at Baltimore Pike Cemetery, 3200 Costello Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
