Charlotte Wilson Sipe, 78, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, September 13 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital. She was born in Caswell County on July 23, 1946 to the late Lee Oalen and Alice Geneva Swift Wilson and was the wife of 36 years to the late Frank Junior Sipe.
Charlotte graduated from Bartlett Yancey High School in 1964 and receive her Bachelor’s Degree from Elon University in 1981. She taught school from 1976 until 2005. She was a teacher at Western Middle School and Broadview Middle School from 1982-1993. She became a Head Teacher of Friendship Christian School in Elon until retiring in 2005 to homeschool her grandchildren. Charlotte loved the Lord and attended Friendly Lane Baptist Church. She loved serving others and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She married Frank J. Sipe in 1965; they lived happily until his passing in 2001. They were blessed with two children, Michelle Sipe Langley 1969-2019 and Michael Perry Sipe 1970-2020; two wonderful grandchildren, Brooke Langley Alan) McKinney and Benjamin Perry Langley; two beautiful great grandchildren, Mollie Lea McKinney and Macie Ann McKinney, daughters of Brooke and Alan McKinney.
A service to celebrate Charlotte’s life will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Craig Cox. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45pm prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
