CHARLOTTE WYMORE Obituary
CHARLOTTE MARION BUSH WYMORE
Charlotte Marion Bush Wymore passed away in College Station, Texas, on December 20, 2024. She was born to Arthur and Josephine Bush on November 8, 1934, and was raised in Raymondville, Texas. Charlotte met the love of her life, Ray Wymore, and married him six months later, in September 1969. She was a loving mother, wife, godmother, sister, friend, and cousin. Charlotte graduated from Raymondville High School in May 1954.
Throughout her life, Charlotte held various jobs before settling into the ASC Office, where she worked for 26 years before retiring in 1980 to become a stay-at-home mom. Her daughters were her world, and she actively volunteered in every activity they participated in. Charlotte was a dedicated community member, always helping those in need through her church and various local endeavors. Her hobbies included driving her daughters to their activities, baking, canning, playing cards, crafting, and selling at craft shows and farmers' markets across the Valley, as well as in Kingsville and Alice.
Charlotte will be remembered for her love of good times, devotion to her husband and daughters, and joyful gatherings with friends. She was a lifelong member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, serving on the Altar Society and holding various positions, including president. An avid bowler for 36 years, she competed locally, statewide, and nationwide, always enjoying her time on those trips.
Wherever Charlotte went, she was the life of the party, with a remarkable ability to make people laugh. Her favorite saying was, "It's five o'clock somewhere." Charlotte will be remembered with admiration, love, and selfless devotion.
Charlotte lost her husband, Ray, in 2009 after a long illness. She continued living in the home where she raised her family until 2019. Charlotte lived her entire life in Raymondville until that time and then moved in with her beloved daughter, Barbie, in Alice in December 2019. The two were best friends and big travel buddies. Charlotte went on nine different cruises with Barbie and many friends, truly being the life of the party.
In April 2022, after losing Barbie in an accident, Charlotte stayed in their house until April 2024, when she finally decided to move to College Station to be closer to her grandsons. She was excited, as it was her first place all to herself. She decorated and settled in, but on September 19, 2024, she was diagnosed with bile duct cancer. Charlotte chose not to undergo treatment and decided to live each day to the fullest until the end. She lived a full and happy life, receiving everything she asked God for: a husband, a home, children, and grandchildren. She passed peacefully with her daughter by her side.
Her greatest joy was watching her daughters and grandsons grow. She particularly loved watching her grandson Dylan run and was thrilled when he made the Texas State University Track and Field Team, eagerly anticipating his first meet. She also enjoyed watching her grandson Cross play football and throw either the discus or javelin. She was so excited that he was accepted into Texas State University like his brother after graduating from College Station High School this year. Her love shone brightly in every moment spent with them.
Charlotte was a silent partner in her daughter and son-in-law's Snap Fitness in Bryan business. She was delighted to be part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony and every aspect of organizing the business while enjoying watching them flourish. Charlotte loved meeting some members and having a drink or two with them, always reminding them, "It's five o'clock somewhere."
