Chase E. Miller, age 16, passed away at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at his residence in Niles, surrounded by his loving family.
Born December 9, 2009, in Youngstown, Chase was a vibrant 10th-grade student at Niles McKinley High School. He was a dedicated member of the Niles McKinley Boys Soccer Team, a sport he truly loved. Outside of school and sports, Chase was an avid gamer and enjoyed the simple freedom of riding his bike. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and participating in family activities.
Chase is survived by his father, Ed Miller Jr.; his mother, Bobbi Jo Boyd and her husband Matt Busse; his brother, Layton Busse; four sisters, Morgan Spell and her fiancé Dom, Miranda Spell, Dakotah Busse, Harlyn Busse; paternal grandparents Gene and Kathy Busse; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Ed and Doris Miller Sr.; maternal grandmother Ruby Geddes; uncle Craig Geddes; and great-aunts, Shirley Boyd and Anna Riley.
Friends and family may call Tuesday February 24, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.at Niles First Christian Church, 33 N. Arlington Ave. Niles, Ohio 44446. A funeral service will follow immediately at 7:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Christopher Stark.
In honor of Chase’s style and spirit, the family requests that guests do not dress formally. In his memory, hoodies and t-shirts are the requested attire for all those attending.
