Che-Ming Chang

I had the pleasure of working in RTP TAC with Tom for many years. Tom was a brilliant engineer, extremely smart and passionate about his work. Many a long night in RTP Woodland TAC building and leaving, Tom would be outside by the door taking a break, but heading back in to keep working on a solution. He was a very funny and nice person, always had a smile. May God bless him and rest his soul in heaven.

I was on the Cisco team that hired Tom. I am really going to miss him. He was a brilliant and smart Engineer. I had the previllage of working with Tom for a number of years in TAC. He always amazed me with his ability to learn new technologies fast and at the same time help others to undrestand it too. He was such a hard worker , we spend so many long days and nights at work trying to figure out a problem. One time i had to leave work early like 1 AM, when i showed up the next day around 8 AM. I found Tom resting on his desk sitting up. He was also a great family man. He will be missed and irreplaceable for ever. My most heartfelt sorrow and condolences to his wife and kids.

I will truly miss Tom, He was very quiet, but every time I saw him at Cisco in Lobby 12 I would say Hello Tom and he would say Hello Jennifer". I will always remember his kindness.

Tom is the most trustworthy, kind, and passionate people. Every time we spoke Tom never hesitated to share his expertise and insight. I will miss him greatly. May God bless him and rest his soul in heaven.

I really appreciated the time working with Tom. I always had something to learn from him as his range and depth of expertise was amazing and he was always kind in taking the time to explain and teach. He was super smart and funny and patient. I will miss Tom so much.

Tom was always very passionate and patient in his work. Numerous times he would call me up to take an opportunity to share his enthusiasm and expertise on a subject he was working on. I knew he was a rare individual who absolutely loved what he did day in and day out. It is a shame I never had a chance to get to know him outside of work, I have a feeling we would have been friends.

May there be comfort in knowing that someone so special will never be forgotten! Forever Remembered, Forever Missed.

Tom, you bring back the good memory of the BTS days. It is my great honor to have worked with you. You will be missed!
