The family will receive friends from 2pm until time of the service at 4pm Monday at the funeral home.
Ms. Giardina was born March 19, 1982, in Springfield, to the late Leonard Chester Whitaker, and the late Betty Jean Warren Whitaker. She worked as a Veterinary Technician at the Sango Veterinary Hospital.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Giardina was preceded in death by her grandparents, R.T. and Agnes Whitaker, and Ray and Dossie Warren.
She is survived by her sons, Alex Giardina and Dylan Giardina; the father of her children, Brad Giardina; sisters, Delia (Dwight) Reed and Cathy Rose; brother, Dale Arsenault; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
