In the embrace of loving memories and shared laughter, we gather to celebrate the life of Chelsea Crowley, who departed this world on June 25, 2025, at Prisma Health Children's Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. Born on October 13, 2009, Chelsea was a radiant light whose joyful spirit touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Chelsea was a spirited girl with passions as vibrant as her personality. An avid enthusiast of the great outdoors, she found immense joy in hunting and fishing, embracing nature’s beauty with an adventurous heart. Chelsea also cherished the simple pleasures of life, relishing moments spent riding uptown with her beloved cousin Katelyn, where they would share music and good food, creating memories that would last forever.
At the time of her passing, Chelsea was a bright student at Hartsville Middle School, embodying the laughter, energy, and curiosity characteristic of her age. She was embraced by her family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished connections.
Left to treasure her memory are her devoted parents, Daniel and Karen Crowley of Hartsville; her brothers, Kristopher Crowley, Michael Smith, James Smith, and Robert Smith; and her sisters, Heather Wall and her husband Jacob from McBee, Brittany Freiman and her fiancé Billy Clay from Blenheim, and Ashley Miller and her husband Jeffery from Wilmington, Sabrina Eichner from Florida. Chelsea also leaves behind her maternal grandparents, Steve and Lori Hall of McBee, along with Chuck Smith of Hartsville, and Suzan Hayes of Blenheim. Her paternal step-grandfather, Larry Tice of Society Hill, along with four nieces and four nephews, alongside numerous aunts and uncles, continue to hold her memory close to their hearts. A special place in their thoughts will always be reserved for her great aunt Deloise Spease from Society Hill, whose love was a gentle guidance throughout Chelsea's life.
Though she graced this earth for a brief time, Chelsea's impact will resonate through the lives she has touched. She was preceded in death by her mother, Angel Smith, as well as her paternal grandparents, Tommy Crowley, Sandra Tice, and Destiny Crowley. These relationships, though interrupted in life, will forever bind the memories of Chelsea with those she loved.
On June 29, 2025, the community will come together at Welsh Neck Baptist Church in Society Hill, South Carolina, to honor Chelsea’s life. A visitation is scheduled for 3:00 PM, leading into her funeral service at 4:00 PM, followed by a burial in the church cemetery.
