Cheri Jane "Hutar" Geraffo

Cheri Jane (Hutar) Geraffo of Shorewood, MN, cherished wife of Phil, stepmother to Monica and Benjamin and loyal friend to many, passed away on September 8, 2025, at the age of 62. She was preceded in death by her brother Mark, her father Duane and her mother Jane.

Cheri was known for her living life to its fullest. She never uttered the words "I will wait for some date in the future for doing (fill in the blank)." She was kindhearted and had a generous spirit - especially for those less fortunate. Cheri had a love of fine purses and fine fashion. She attended more concerts than Phil can count with her favorite performers being Eric Clapton and Aerosmith. Cheri was a card-carrying member of the Aerosmith fan club. One of her favorite memories was traveling to England to see Eric Clapton perform at Royal Albert Hall. She has also been to Australia, France, Greece, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, Sweden and New Zealand. Cheri also took several trips to Yellowstone, Hawaii and Alaska but her favorite place in the U.S. was Malibu Beach. Cheri also thoroughly enjoyed accompanying Phil to his fantasy basketball camp over the years and became a loyal fan of Duke basketball as a result.

She loved spending time at her lake house on the Whitefish Chain where she would paddleboard, play pickleball and entertain friends.

Cheri loved spending time and raising her Westie, Cameron, who brought so much joy into Cheri's life.

Cheri will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 - 3 pm on September 21 at the Shorewood Community Center (5735 Country Club Road, Shorewood MN).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Cheri's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
