Cheri Hites Obituary
Cheri was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on November 10, 1952. She married the love of her life David Hites and he survives after 53 wonderful years of marriage. Cheri is also survived by her beautiful daughters Annette Byrd, Shannon (Jason) Romick, and Heather (Stewart) Pelton; grandchildren: Bryson, Jeffrey, Zach, Dasan and Makenna; great-grandchildren: Cashton and Myles; siblings: Phyllis, Patty, Kim, Rick and Ara and her dear friend Sue Stevens. She was preceded in death by her mother Ruth Hollenbeck and brother Orrie Hollenback.
Cheri was a 1971 graduate of Findlay High School and later became a hairdresser. She then went to work and retired from Hearthside Foods in McComb. Cheri was a woman of simple pleasures, finding joy in painting, camping, fishing, listening to the Bee Gees, traveling, and bowling. Her humble and kind nature endeared her to all who knew her. Cheri will forever be remembered for her gentle spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted with Hanneman Funeral Home, McComb.
Memorial contributions may be made in Cheri's honor to the Hancock County Humane Society.
