I always think about the time we met at the terminal, preparing to fly from Norfolk to Bahrain. Your smile, and outgoing personality is what I remembered of you. I missed that. You will never be forgotten. Continue to enjoy the fair Winds, and following seas.

Although it has been ten years since you left family and friends, we still thank you for your service.

It has taken me almost a year to the date to sign this guest book. Cherie was the world to me. She truly left an imprint in my heart because of her I know what a blessing it is to have sisters. We became friends over night and were family for what felt like a lifetime. But I rest easy believing that it was well with her soul and that she is with her maker smiling down on me. We would always recite a line of a poem "For anyone can say they are your sister but a true sister is one who proves to be your sister" She was that and more and proved it everyday. I write this with tears in my eyes but smiling on the inside. Or memories will never be forgotten and your smile a constant reminder of the joys of life. I love you sis and wish you were here and one day I will see you again. Gone from this earth but forever in my heart.

It has taken me a long time to sign this book! Why, because Sister I cannot believe that you are not here with us. My prayers and sympathy go out to the family of Cheri'e. She was a beautiful woman on the inside and outside. Her laugh I will always remember. The talks that we had! I am going to miss the shoe shopping that we did at Seef Mall (Aldo's, Nine West) and the 7:00 am phone calls. Ree's kindred spirtit will always be with me. I will never forget her or that day. I knew something was wrong when she did not return any of my calls. She was so reliable and a good friend. I cannot tell you how much my heart hurts on losing such a dear person. Full of life and fun! Sister you will always be remembered. The OES and Mason cruise that we planned to take in October, we will still go to cherish our dear sisters memory and life celebrated. Ree I truly miss you very much! Not a day goes by that I do not think of you and that day! You were truly a sister that believed in her obligation and duty to the OES. you where an excellent NC1 whom served her customers with pride and dedication. I love and miss you Sistar!

We Thank God For You! In every situation God is still in control. May His Peace be upon You, your family, PHAmily, and all those who loves you because we surely do. Let is Shine!

Such a shame, such a shame.... my heart goes out to the family. I never knew Cherie, but I'm sure she was a joyful soul. Again, my heart goes out to those that closely knew cherie and the family. May God give you strength in the coming years.

To the family and parents of Cherie I want you to know that you are not alone in the grief you are feeling. I too know what you are going through and what you will go through in the coming weeks and months ahead. You will have many questions as to why? You will have many things to get ready or go through and that should be done in time. Sometimes it just can’t be faced and that’s ok, for you will know when the time is right for you. Losing a shipmate is sad whether you knew them or not. But knowing someone who did is hard also. We all share the pain of a loss. To her son, STAND PROUD!! Your mom was as proud of you as you were her. Make her proud in your future endeavors. She is at peace now.

I never got the chance to meet Cherie but through sisterhood I do feel the pain of her passing. From what i know of her and the sadness in the hearts of our sistars I know she was a wonderful woman. One who will be dearly missed. There is now an Angel on our shoulders. May God be with all through this time and never forget this body is temporary, this land is for a time. Being with the Lord is where we are all headed, being with God is being in a much better place.

Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
