Cherry Darlene Wolf, age 93, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025. Cherry was born in Hope AR on July 23, 1932 to Grady and Euna Mae Cameron. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose compassion and dedication touched countless lives throughout her long and remarkable life.
Cherry was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her sister Val Stewart, and her devoted husband of 50 years, Herbert Wolf. She leaves behind a loving family: her daughter Debbie Stroud (Danny), her sons Bert Wolf (Amber) and Bob Wolf (Becky), 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and one nephew.
After graduating from Hope High School, Cherry pursued her calling to care for others, earning her nursing degree from St. Vincent Infirmary School of Nursing in Little Rock in 1954. For the next four decades, she served her community and country as a nurse, including service in the U.S. Navy, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, and at the VA Hospital. Her commitment to the healing profession was unwavering, and she was known for her expertise, kindness, and gentle humor.
Nursing was not just Cherry’s career; it was her calling. Even in her final months, she maintained her love for the field, often sharing her wisdom and guidance with hospital and nursing home staff.
Cherry will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured, the patients she healed, and the many lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.
We are deeply grateful to the staff at Amberwood Health and Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate care during her final days. The friendships she formed with the staff brought her great comfort.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home.
