Dear Family of Cherry and Dave Evertsen I just now learned of Cherry's passing. I'm so sorry for your loss. I was just checking her address to send her a birthday card, which was yesterday (29 July 2023). The last time I saw you children was at Dave's service. You all left a lasting impression of me. Your spirits, your fun personalities. Capable just like Cherry. Cherry and I were best friends at Onequa Elementary. Later we found new friends but were always in a friendly, constant circle of friends. Cherry gave me a bridal shower at her home on Oakley when I got married in 1964. So a lasting friendship. She taught me so much. She would never be reckless like hitching on the back of cars on icy streets on 3rd (now 4th) North. Always a good head on her shoulders. I'm so blessed to have known her. Her mother Maye also left a lasting impression. Never yawn in public (to let your friends know that you are bored). It's funny the things I remember. Will always love and remember Cherry.
The Lord bless you and keep you. Love, Madeline

Cherry´s smile and hugs will be forever with me! So grateful to her for her sweet and kind love personally sharedWith me. Cherry faithfully sent Christmas cards and notes to keep in touch. We shared in love for her family. She was all about family and desired all the best for everyone. Cherry and I went to church together for a time with Erik and stayed after meetings to visit while Erik helped clean up the church building. This was a precious time and experience for me to share with Cherry - forever cherished and treasured memory. My prayers will be for her heavenly help and watch care over family. Trusting she is near and not gone from us!! We have the gift of time here and now to make a difference of love, peace and goodness to bless her legacy.
Much love to her family - each one of you!
Special to Gavin, Bree, Erik and Sulley. Love, Leslie/Essie xoxo
Much love from John too!

We are very sorry for your loss. She was an amazing lady full of kindness and generosity. We were fortunate to have spent a weekend in Vashon with Bob, Darci, Olivia and Cherry; she made a fantastic fish stew!

Cherry always added a calm, cheerful spirit to any gathering at my home. She was a teeny bundle of positivity everywhere she went. I always envied her relationship with Dave. I´m hugging you all virtually. She will be missed! Ps. AN AMAZING COOK SHE WAS TOO!!
