Cheryl Ann Goodman, 64, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, at UNMC with her daughters holding her hands.
Cheryl was born to John and Karen Richardson, and grew into a warm, devoted, and hardworking woman whose presence touched everyone around her. In 2008 she married the love of her life, Barry Goodman, with whom she built a life full of laughter, partnership, and deep love.
A talented cosmetologist, Cheryl dedicated her life to her craft. She owned and operated her own beauty salon for 20 years, where she made clients feel beautiful, welcomed, and cared for. Many of the friendships she formed there lasted a lifetime.
Cheryl embraced life fully. She grew up dancing and was a member of the Northwest High School Dance Team. In her younger years she enjoyed golfing and country dancing on the weekends. She found joy in working in her yard, watching sports with Barry, enjoying dinners with friends, and taking casino trips with her mom and sister. Above all, Cheryl cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren, and she treasured every family gathering.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Barry Goodman; her children Ryan Hanten (Nicole), Dana Sughroue (Alex), and Courtney Lynn; her grandchildren Ashton, Carter, Noah, Dakota, and John; her mother Karen Richardson; her sister Linda Bohn and brother-in-law Greg Bohn; and three nieces and nephews. She is also survived by step-daughter Amanda (Cody) and grandchildren, Taylor, Brock, and Luke.
Cheryl will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew her.
