Cheryl Lee August

Cheryl Lee August of Jasper, FL, passed away peacefully on September 28th, 2023 after a lengthy illness. Cheryl was born January 9th, 1962 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late George W. Stuhl and the late Alice J. Flaharty. Cheryl grew up in Jacksonville, FL where she attended Edward White High School. She spent many years working for Gulf Life Insurance Company and then moved to Jasper, FL to be with her family, where she has lived for the last 10 years. Cheryl loved animals, spending time outdoors, gardening, and was a big fan of music.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her father, George W. Stuhl and her mother, Alice J. Flaharty Stuhl. She is survived by her daughters: Tiffany August (Henry) of Jacksonville, FL and Amanda August of Jacksonville, FL; her brothers: George W. Stuhl, Jr. (John Herring) of Valdosta, GA and William "Bill" Joseph Stuhl (Michelle) of Jacksonville, FL; her sister, Drena Kantz (Kevin) of New Jersey; her step-mom, Karen Stuhl of Jasper Florida; and six grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL on Monday, October 2nd, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., with a visitation just prior at 1:00 p.m. Following the service, interment will take place at Hebron Cemetery in Jasper, FL. All services are under the direction of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home.
