In memory of
Ahren Basil

Cheryl was my Grandmother, I still miss her to this day. I wish she would still be here to see me graduate and go on to college. It is true how she spoiled me and my sister, and I truly feel like my entire life and personality changed ever since she passed. Love you grandma, I never forgot about you

Cheryl, I think of you often--I think of your smile, laugh and your jovial manner. The time you would stop and give to people as they would stop you in the walkways as you were walking to take a breather which you didn't get very often. You ALWAYS gave your time to others, you never said no...you always stopped and listened and guided and made people feel special and smarter! you were hard but for the right reasons...you respected people and also provided guidance. I admired you and I tried to be like you...you were and will be one of the Services giants my friend. As I walk out the door of Services next month I walk out knowing that I had the pleasure of being mentored by one of the best in the business. Oh and your daughter is a genius just like you--be proud ;) and that grandbaby is so cute. All of your family is just beautiful!!! We all miss you friend -- we know you are a beautiful guardian angel. still missing you...forever in our Services hearts.

To my dearest friend Cheryls family. Life without a loved one is very hard as I am finding out. Seems so unfair. I pray you all are doing well and moving forward knowing Cheryl is right by your side. I so loved Cheryl. I send Gods grace and my love to each of you!

Ned and family. My Larry joined Cheryl in heaven 29 Jan 2018. His loss has been heartbreaking as I know Cheryls still is to you. Traci had a baby 3 March. She was 28 weeks, 2 lb 8 oz. she came home from the NICU 16 May. Such a wonderful blessing and with so many guardian angels watching over her I am sure Larry is her biggest. I know Cheryl is watching and sending you all signs of her love to each of you too. I continue to pray for all of you and send my love to each of you. I, for sure, know the grief from losing a loved one is so devastating and join you in the slow healing process. Gods peace and love to you all.

I miss you so much. Everyone says it gets easier with time. And I am having a hard time accepting that. So much has happened since you left. I finally got promoted, I had another back surgery, I got my dream job at AFPC! The babies are growing up so fast. At least twice a week Ayla will do or say something and the first words out of my mouth are "mom would have gotten a kick out of that!" Ahren is doing ok. Jist started 6th grade. Don't know if I'm prepared for that adventure! I've opened this guestbook permanently so when I want to talk to you I can come on here and send you a message. I haven't really dealt with you being gone. I just kinda pushed it away because there are other people that needed me. So maybe this will help. I hope you're up there watching and smiling at our shenanigans. Love you mom.

Amber, my heart goes out to you and your entire family. So sad that she didn't really get to enjoy her retirement. Loved how you mom was just Cheryl - no flares, no frills - she was just herself and that was enough. May she rest in peace.

Basil family my prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. Cheryl was not only my work mom she was my mentor and my hero!! I would always say to her "when I grow up I want to be just like you" and she would always respond "no you don't", lol, she just didn't know how much I really meant that. Cheryl will be greatly missed but always in my heart.
