Mrs. Cheryl Lynn Dunn Borchert, 39, employee of Nippon Express, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at her residence on Brierwood Dr. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Joe Macer officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Melynda Borchert Fund, c/o Heritage Bank and Trust, 217 S. James M. Campbell Blvd., Columbia, TN 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of William Thomas "Tommy" Dunn and Linda Carol Blocker Dunn of Columbia. She attended the Church of Christ. Survivors in addition to her parents include her husband, Eric Allen Borchert of Columbia; daughter, Melynda Katherine Borchert of Columbia; father-in-law, Bud Borchert of Jackson; mother-in-law, Melody Morgan of Jackson; two brothers, Richard (Heather) Dunn, Bryan Dunn both of Columbia; grandmother, Faye Blocker of Columbia; brother-in-law, Jason (Tonya) Borchert of Jackson; nieces and nephews, Ricky Dunn, John William Dunn, Savannah Dunn all of Columbia, Morgan Borchert, Connor Borchert both of Jackson; cousins, Kay Jones and Miranda Thompson both of Columbia; best friend, Karla Porter; and several aunts, uncles and other cousins. Pallbearers will be Monte Davis, Josh Jones, Christian Cahill, Phillip Evers, James Thompson, Jason Wisener, Bart Kelley, Todd Baxter, David Davis, Tim Davis and Harry Dryer.
