Cheryl Bovia Obituary
Cheryl A. "Sherry" Bovia, 72, of Essex Junction died at home on Monday, September 19, 2022 after a short illness with cancer.
Sherry was born July 15, 1950 in Burlington, VT to Harry and Ella (St. Francis) Bovia. She graduated from Rice Memorial High School in 1968 and went on to work at IBM in Essex Junction, retiring in 1993.
Sherry was predeceased by her parents Harry and Ella Bovia; her brother Chip, and a sister Donna. She is survived by her brother Philip Bovia and his partner Mary Jo Berube; her two nieces, Karyn Bovia Miller (Robert) of Shelburne, and Kelly Bovia Peltier of Waunakee, WI; great-nieces Ella and Olivia Miller, and great-nephews Ethan and Samuel Peltier.
The family appreciates all the time, effort, and caring provided to Sherry by the UVMMC Hospice team.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 26, at 10:00am at St. Joseph Cathedral in Burlington. Interment will follow in Resurrection Park Cemetery, So. Burlington. Arrangements are in care of the Ready Funeral & Cremation Service.
