To Barbara Jasper (mother of Cheryl). This is Marlene Korywchak and I received this information of Cheryl's death too late to make the Visitation or the funeral today. Please accept my deepest regrets but I'm still in complete shock. Our prayers go out to you & family and you will hear from me very soon. I will call you after you have time to get everything settled down & your life back to some time to think clearly. Losing a loved one is never easy but please know that we love you and will want to share her loss in anyway we can. Always a friend, Marlene

Cheryl and I met back in the early stages of Jack n Jill. I was beginning my career at CCMS and looking to work with someone who wanted to do what's best for children and families. Boy, did I find that with Cheryl!!
We worked many late nights and Saturdays at her center making it a Texas Rising Star. She was so proud of her hard work and so happy to serve children and families who needed a hand-up in this world.
I will always remember her big heart and boundless energy!! We not only developed a professional bond but a friendship that lasted for 23 years.
I realize the terrible loss her family has suffered but hope it brings you comfort to know all the good your Mom and daughter have done for our childcare community.
Many prayers for the family!!

Cheryl and I go back to her start-up days with Jack n Jill. I was beginning my career at CCMS and wanted to be able to find providers that wanted to do what's best for children and families. Boy, did I find that with Cheryl. We worked many Saturdays and late nights to develop her center into a 4 star provider. She was so proud of her work and so loved her center and the families she served.
We not only had a professional bond but developed a friendship that lasted 23 years. I will always remember her big heart!! She fought for what was right and didn't mind speaking up for people who needed a hand-up in this world! We need more people like her -- the childcare community has suffered a terrible loss with her passing.
Many prayers for her immediate and extended family.

I will always remember Cheryl for her generous spirit- always willing to help others. She loved her staff and the children and families she served through her child care center. I will cherish memories of her sense of humor and quick wit. She was a very special person, indeed. She will be missed.

"Her passing leaves a void that family and friends will struggle to fill." I know that even that sentence can't begin to express your sorrow. My heart is heavy for you, and I hope that somehow sharing Iove and memories with friends and family will bring at least a small measure of comfort. Cheryl was a remarkable woman indeed.

Our prayers are with all Cheryl's fellow employees, but also with her kids, her mom, and whole family during this rough time. It's hard to loose a parent or someone close to you. May the angels give you the peace to cope and continue to do the work Cheryl loved in the day care and her family.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Cheryl and I, and many friends "ran around" in '74-76..Go Rebs!! I remember her as full of life and I LOVED her Mom! Our paths crossed a few months back at QT and she was with her son and I remember thinking.."what a great Mom" The love of a mother is unmatched in the universe. I pray for comfort for her family and will always remember her vivacious, infectious, laugh and love of life. Gone too soon. I pray for God's Peace that passes all understanding. I am thankful that she was in my life.

Gone but not forgotten! Missing my dear friend, an angel for children here on earth. Words cannot truly express the depth of our sorrow. You were a champion for the underdog, a teacher, a leader, a mother and true friend. I will hold you in my heart until we meet again.
My prayers for your Mom, Brother, Daughter and Son and their families, for comfort, peace, strength, and light.

My condolences to the family during your time of sorrow. I only knew Cheryl for a short time but I enjoyed getting to know her during our time together in the Taking Charge of Change class last year. She seemed to be very passionate about her schools, staff, the families who were a part of her school's and her own family. She will be missed.
