After several years of declining health Cheryl Lynn Butler-Brewster is at rest. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 4, 2025, at her home.
She was mother to Greg Brewster and Briana Brewster Ray. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and seven grandchildren. she also loved her church family, Salem Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the church for their support and kindness to Cheryl for the past several years. She was a part of Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Study that helped her in so many ways. Giving her rides to appointments and support with meals as well as love and friendship.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lola and Charlie Butler and Clara and Walter Spears; parents, Otis "Butch" and Nell Butler; beloved aunt, Mildred "Mickey" Blackwood; uncle, CW Blackwood (Doris); husband, Brian Brewster.
Cheryl is survived by her children, Greg Brewster, and Briana Brewster Ray (Tyler); grandchildren, Eden, Eli, Willow, Solomon, Rosalynn, Lillie Ruth and Judah; brother, Mark Butler (Cindy); nephews, David Cousins, Bill Blackwood (Jan), and Hank Blackwood (Cassandra).
A memorial service will be held at 5 PM on Friday at Salem Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4 until 5 at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church.
