Cheryl "Cheri" L. Charles, age 72, of Sidney, NE, passed away at UC Health in Aurora, CO, on Friday, March 14, 2025.
Memorial services for Cheri will be held from 2-3:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 484 Deaver Drive in Sidney. A luncheon will be held following the Memorial Service at the Country Inn & Suites Banquet Room, located at 644 Chase Blvd in Sidney.

Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Cheri's care and funeral arrangements.
Cheri was born on April 8, 1952 to Bob Bittner and Veryl Burton in Winner, SD. Cheri was well known for her love of cooking wonderful meals, collecting beautiful trinkets, dishes, and needle worked tea towels. She enjoyed taking care of her family, spending time with her teacup Yorkie, and taking care of anyone who needed her assistance. She was an extremely loving and empathetic person, always sharing her strong faith as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, her hope of living in a perfect earth, along with her hope for the resurrection. Cheri was an amazing mother and friend who made everything she touched beautiful, and she had a gift for making everyone feel welcome in her home. She will be sadly missed by countless loved ones.
Cheri is survived by her loving husband, Elwood Charles, of 55 years of Sidney, NE; daughters Dannette Bayne and husband Tony of Sidney, NE, Darla Herren and husband Jim of Seward, NE, and Debbie Hrbek of Sidney, NE; sons Dennis Charles and wife Misti of Sidney, NE, David Charles of Rapid City, SD, Daniel Charles and wife Kat of Sidney, NE, and Donovan Charles of Sidney, NE; sisters Debra Almen of Gillette, WY, and Vicki Jansen on Norfolk, NE, along with 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cheri is preceded in death by her parents Bob Bittner and Veryl Burton; an extremely special grandmother, Minnie Bittner, along with two great-nieces, Mckenna Rohrich and Saige Stevenson.
