Born on August 31, 1948, in Altoona, PA, Cheryl's journey through life was marked by her creativity, kindness, and passionate spirit. A proud graduate of State College High School's class of 1966, Cheryl carried the lessons and friendships from her early years throughout her life. She went on to establish a successful career, initially bringing her talents to Equipment Supply in Burlington, NJ, where she excelled as a Billing Manager. Later, she continued her professional journey at US Accounting in State College, PA, where her precision and dedication were greatly valued.
Cheryl found love and companionship with her devoted husband, David Zarling, with whom she built a life filled with joy and mutual respect. She raised a beloved daughter, who, along with her husband, blessed Cheryl with two grandchildren. These little ones brought indescribable happiness to her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her family circle also included her caring brother, Thomas Stevens, his son Brenton Stevens, and her sister Deanna Farar and her husband.
Her Christian faith was a cornerstone of Cheryl's life, guiding her actions and providing comfort and strength through the years. She lived her beliefs through acts of service and love, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Cheryl's interests were a reflection of her vibrant and creative personality. She had an eye for antiques and found joy in decorating spaces, transforming them into warm and inviting places. Her passion for Penn State University football was well-known, and she could often be found cheering on her team with the same zeal she brought to every endeavor. The simple pleasure of going on antique train rides and attending plays at the theater were pastimes she cherished deeply, as they allowed her to connect with the history and culture she loved so much.
