Cheryl Ann Grimes, age 78 of Canton, Georgia, formerly of Rockwood, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. She was born on February 14, 1947 in Illinois. Cheryl worked for 45 + years as a nurse, and usually found herself working in eldercare. Some people are truly called into their profession and Cheryl was one of those people. Her temperament and heart made her perfect for the job. She was one of the most genuine people to walk this Earth. She was always kind, well spoken, and cared for anyone she came across in her life. She was also very talented when it came to crafts. She was a master of any skillset within the world that she practiced, and that was evident by the amount of things she would make for her daughter or anyone close to her that she loved. She loved to paint, draw, sew, embroidery, crochet, bake, and was quite talented at all these endeavors. Her faith and Christian beliefs were strong. They carried her through patches of life and she let her faith be evident in the way she carried herself and treated people. She is preceded in death by her parents: George Carter Hall & Betty Lee (Craig) Hall; husband: Billy J. Grimes; and sister: Georgia Kay Gardner. She is survived by:
Daughter: Remona Hudson
Brother: Gregory Hall (Anita)
Brother-in-law: Travis Gardner
and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
Family and friends will meet for a graveside service on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 1:00 pm ET in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, TN. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Cheryl Ann Grimes.
