Cheryl "Sherry" Nutter of Lewisburg, WV passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024 following a short illness.
Sherry is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Thomas Nutter; son Hunter F. Johnson III (Karen); grandsons Braeden and Baylor Johnson; great-granddaughter Teagan Hunter Johnson; brother-in-law Floyd Nutter (Ann); niece Beth Ratliff (Jamie); brother-in-law Vic Nutter; nephew Jack (Kim); sister-in-law Joyce Jones (Othal); niece Melinda Brown (Pat); nephew Mike Jones (Janet).
Sherry's unwavering dedication to helping people led her to a wonderful career in healthcare.
As an RN, she later pursued and earned her BSN in nursing. Her inspiring contributions to home health care were truly rewarding to Sherry.
In her retirement, Sherry was a vivacious Silver Sneakers and water aerobics instructor who enjoyed meeting new people and building connections with her clients. Sherry cherished the many family vacations she took, spending time with her grandsons and great-granddaughter.
She also loved spending time with her friends, whether it was lunching, attending plays, shopping, or the occasional wine-tasting event.
A memorial service will be held at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home 884 Jefferson Street North, Lewisburg, WV 24901, on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 11:00 am. A visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday.
Sherry had a great affection for animals, particularly dogs. In lieu of flowers, you may make a memorial donation to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in honor of Sherry.
