Cheryl Lynn Pike-Alvarado

Cheryl Lynn Pike-Alvarado was born on March 30, 1955, in Modesto, California, to William and Clara Pike. On October 15, 2025, Cheryl passed away peacefully in her hometown at the age of 70. Cheryl's life was filled with kindness, laughter, and devotion to those she loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Larry Alvarado, and her beloved son, Jeremy Snyder. She is survived by her son, Eric Snyder, and his wife, Kelly, along with her four stepsons: Michael (Kim) Alvarado, Larry "Nano" Alvarado, Mark (Diane) Alvarado, and Aaron Counts. Cheryl also leaves behind her sister, Karen (Augie) Cortez, and her brother, Billy (Madlyn) Pike. Her heart overflowed with love for her 13 grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride.

For more than 25 years, Cheryl worked as a medical assistant with the Health Services Agency of Stanislaus County, where she touched countless lives through her compassion and dedication. She later retired from the Paradise Medical Office.

Cheryl was an avid reader and loved spending quiet moments with a good book. But her greatest joy came from being with her family-especially her grandchildren. She was happiest when surrounded by their laughter, sharing stories, and creating memories that will live on in their hearts forever.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Allen Mortuary Funeral Home, 247 N. Broadway Ave., Turlock, CA 95354. A celebration of Cheryl's life will follow at the Modesto Moose Lodge, 821 Fifth St., Modesto, CA 95351.

Burial will take place on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 1141 Scenic Dr., Modesto, CA 95350.

Cheryl will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love for family, and the warmth she shared with everyone who knew her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved.
