Cheryl Ruf Obituary
She was born June 9, 1963 in Park Ridge, IL, the daughter of Owen and Donna Wrzeszcz. Cheryl was a graduate of Concordia University in River Forest, IL and received her nursing degree in 1985 from Lutheran General and Deaconess Hospital.
Cheryl was formerly employed by various hospitals in Illinois, Washington State and Florida. Her last employment was with Mercy Health in Janesville, WI. Cheryl attended Lifepoint Church in Crestview, FL and Stateline Church in Rockford, IL. Her faith and church community were very important to her. Cheryl loved the beach, sun, water and swimming with the dolphins. She enjoyed meeting new people wherever she went especially in her travels to Mali, Mexico, Israel and Honduras. Cheryl had a whimsical joy and enjoyed life.
Survivors include her sons, Mark Ruf and Peter Ruf; grandsons, Rory, Declan and Daegan; brothers, Branch (Sopo) Peko-Wrzeszcz and Matt (Jennifer) Parker Wrzeszcz; niece, Emma Wrzeszcz; nephews, Samuel (Ally) Lamson and Zachary (Christina) Wrzeszcz.
She was predeceased by her parents.
A Celebration of Life for Cheryl will be held at a later date.

Dear Branch and Matt and everyone else in your family. So very sorry to hear about your sister's passing! I had heard when I was back in Elmhurst in November that she was ill. (Surprised that she was in Beloit, which I know very well since that's where I went to college.) I pray for peace for all and blessings that she is at peace.
