Cheryl was a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband Jim, daughters Aimee and Jessica, sons Dawson and Parker.
She was preceded in death by her father Richard Smith.
She was born in Santa Rosa, California June 12th,1965 and grew up in Blue Lake, California. After high school she moved to Redding Ca. with the family. From there she spent time in Santa Rosa and Redding again before moving to Portland, Oregon in 1997.
Cheryl enjoyed watching Dawson and Parker play Soccer, Lacrosse, and Football on their teams. Cheryl enjoyed entertaining family and guests at her family home. There were BBQ's, Birthday parties, and Halloween parties to name a few, Cheryl loved to have fun with her people. She also enjoyed camping with friends from Redding at Shasta Lake and also at her favorite campground Beaver Bay which is just outside of Cougar, Washington. She enjoyed her art projects painting and drawing, as well as working in the yard at home and playing with the family dogs.
Cheryl was a natural people person and worked in customer service for several companies over the years such as Carr Chevrolet, Damerow Ford and Braley & Graham Auto Mall. She later moved on to work for Keith Bebb CPA where she was a tax preparer and the front office employee. She just loved helping all her customers and clients through the years.
She then found her calling and after successfully completing Medical Assisting school she became a Certified Medical Assistant.
She found a job with OHSU in the Orthopedics department where she absolutely loved working. She loved that she was working with Doctors, Nurses and fellow Medical Assistants as it gave her the feeling of importance with the service she was helping to provide for OHSU patients. She enjoyed helping people because that is just who she was. She enjoyed her career for four short years before having to leave due to her own medical issues.
Cheryl will be missed by many and will be remembered as one of the most loving, caring and giving person that you could ever hope to meet.
