Cheryl Valk Obituary
Cheryl D. Valk, age 57 of Fayetteville, Ohio passed away February 3, 2024 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a homemaker, an animal lover, enjoyed traveling and reading and was a member of the St. Angela Merici Parish on Fayetteville, Ohio. Cheryl was born February 23, 1966 in Bangkok, Thailand the daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Fugate) O'Rick. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother – John O'Rick.
Mrs. Valk is survived by her loving husband of nearly 30 years – Daniel J. Valk whom she married June 11, 1994; one son – Samuel P. Valk of San Diego, California; one brother – Mike O'Rick and wife Laura of Cleveland, Ohio; three nieces and nephews – Tiffany O'Rick of Middletown, Ohio and Joe O'Rick and Tim O'Rick and wife Rachel both of Cleveland, Ohio; father and mother-in-law – Ed and Ione Valk of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; four brothers and sisters-in-law – Dave Valk and wife Jody, Steve Valk and wife Jane, Julie Basacker and husband Randy and Jody Watnemoe and husband Mike all of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; her beloved fur babies and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 9, 2024 at the St. Angela Merici Parish St. Patrick Chapel, 130 Stone Alley, Fayetteville, Ohio where family and friends will be received from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Fr. Cordonnier will be the celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ohio
