Cheryl L. VanCamp

Cheryl L. VanCamp, age 78, passed away on March 28, 2026. She was born on July 19, 1947, in Alliance, to Carl and Pauline Shook and was raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Cheryl graduated from Alliance High School in 1965. She worked as a seamstress for Cintas. Cheryl was a member of the Alliance Eagles #2174 and the Louisville #2374 and worked as a bartender. She was also a member of the VFW Post 1036, the American Legion Post 155, and the Roma.

Cheryl enjoyed sewing and doing crafts.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Dawn (John) Frederick and Denise Dickson; grandchildren, Alexis Dickson, Airika (Joshua) Kambilo, Kayla Dickson, and Crystal Dickson; great-grandchildren, Haylee Kambilo, Aubree, Kaiia, Adalynn Williams, and one on the way, Miracle Venable; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Oreo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Dominic Spinelli; brother, Darl Mosby; sister, Sharon Bussie; and nephew, Richard Kirsch Jr.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior.
