Cheryl L. Ward, 61, of West Danby passed away on January 6, 2026, born on February 24, 1964 to John and Catherine (Turbeville) Bargher.
Cheryl is pre-deceased by her husband Rodger F. Ward whom she married on May 20th 1989 and had their only son in 1993. Cheryl is survived by her son: Ryan Ward (Courtney McNamara); siblings: Michelle Knickerbocker, and Joe Bargher; Nephews: Joey Ward, Jake Ward, Andrew Knickerbocker, Kyle Knickerbocker, and Tylor Knickerbocker and Rodger’s brother, Joe Ward.
Cheryl loved spending her time the most with her husband and son, but she had a great group of friends that she loved to be with, and they did a great job with her care needs.
Her son would like to thank Dr. Samuel Francis and the ICU team at CMC. Cheryl will join her husband of 32 years in Lansingville Cemetery with a graveside service come spring.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Cheryl to the Tompkins County SPCA.
