Chester, was one of my two favorite uncles whom I enjoyed being around when I was very young. He reminded me so much of his brother who was my father. Chester, to me was more of a father to me than my real father. I didn't get to see him as much as I wanted to when I moved to California and lived there for over 35 years. I moved back home to Columbus, Ohio around 1991 with my wife and we later had two sons and the first thing I wanted to do was for them to get to know Chester. I would take them over his house to visit him on the weekends as they were growing up. Chester, was a very religious person and my son's and I enjoyed being around him. He really was the only father figure I ever had in my life and I wanted my two son's Christopher and Nathaniel to meet him. My son's and I are really sadden about his passing and we were so glad to have met such a kind and loveable person. I took a lot of his knowledge and wisdom and used it in raising my two sons. Thank you Chester for all that you done for me and the knowledge and wisdom you shared with me. I will always miss you and keep you in my prayers because you were family. I will always think of the good conversations we had together which helped me grow up and become a good husband and father and I have (only) you to thank for that. "God Bless You" as you are now at peace with our heavenly father above.
I'll always love and miss you, your nephew, Recardo Carr.
