Chester Gibson Obituary
Born on June 15, 1942, in Reynoldsville, he was the son of the late Sidney and Hilda (Wells) Gibson.
Whitey married the love of his life, Janice M. Roush, on July 8, 1967, in Reynoldsville; together they had 58 wonderful years.
He graduated from the Reynoldsville High School, was a member of the Gelnett Memorial Church, and retired as a truck driver for PennDOT. His greatest joy was going to the races at Hummingbird and spending time with his family and friends.
Whitey is survived by his loving family, wife Janice; two sons, James (Tracy) Gibson of Rockton and Jeffery (Nichole) Gibson of Rockton; his fun grandchildren, Alexis, Ella and Cali; his three sisters, Ruth McCullough of Reynoldsville, Jane Summerville of New Bethlehem, Marie Getch of Reynoldsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in passing by his parents and brother, Bill Gibson.
A private memorial service will take place.
Interment will take place in Temple Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Gelnett Memorial Church, 5990 Home Camp Road, DuBois, PA 15891.
