Chester A. "Chet" Pyrcz, 76, of Armstrong Creek, WI, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at the St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay, WI. He was born in Laona on Sept. 30, 1948, son of the late Adolph and Cecelia (Moddie) Pyrcz. He graduated from Kingsford High School in 1966. After graduation, Chet moved down to Chicago where he began his lifelong work in tool and die. He moved back to Michigan, sharing his talent with Kingsford Broach & Tool, Eagle Tool, and his family farm before starting AC Machine & Tool in 1993. Chet ran his shop for nearly 20 years before retiring in 2012. Chet was a longtime member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. He also loved anything to do with cars and spending time with his buddy, Bentley. He loved wrenching on his personal collection and watching NASCAR and drag racing. Chet will be remembered as a tough yet patient man with a wrench in hand and one of his cowboy hats on his head. Chet will be missed by his children, Bonnie Jo Pyrcz, Chester Michael "Chubs" Pyrcz, Samuel Pyrcz, Ben (Samantha) Pyrcz, Victoria (Keith) Krenzke, Christopher LaBay, and Melissa (Dan) Kleiber; grandchildren, Bentley, Autumn, Boone, Augusta, Evelynn, Alisha, Eli, Cody, Tyler, Jesse, Emily, Aubrey, and Ethan; great-granddaughter, Gwendalynn; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Chet is preceded in death by his siblings, Ron and Becky. A graveside service will be held at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Armstrong Creek on Oct. 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. followed by a gathering at the Armstrong Creek Community Center. Condolences may be expressed to the family of Chester A. Pyrcz online at www.ernashfuneralhomes.com.
