Chris M. Browning

Chris M. Browning passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on January 23, 2025, in Turlock, California, at the age of 71. Born on August 31, 1953, in Turlock, Chris grew up in nearby Delhi and graduated from Livingston High School.
A hardworking and dedicated individual, Chris owned a refrigeration business for over 35 years and continued working until his passing. Earlier in life, he worked as a farm laborer and served as a volunteer firefighter-a role he cherished deeply and often reminisced about.
Chris had a passion for restoring and collecting antiques, finding joy in breathing new life into treasures from the past. His pride and joy was his at-home bar, which he lovingly crafted to rival any bar in town. He enjoyed barbequing, sharing laughs with loved ones, and telling stories that showcased his quick wit and humor.
A long-standing member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Delhi, Chris's faith was an important part of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Marcella Browning, and his son, Manuel Pimentel. He is survived by his children, Amey Pimentel, Colby (Toni) Browning, Chas (Ben) Sierra, Ryanne (Rocky) Gouker, Gary O'Brien, and Rob Peichoto; his grandchildren, Anthony Pimentel, Brittny Pimentel (John Caudill), Colby Browning Jr., Drake Browning, Eli Sierra, Stella Sierra, Kayleb Amaya, Kynlee Amaya, Zoey Borba, Niko Salazar, Kiana Salazar, Sydney (Tommy) Ravera and Zachary Bromley; his great-grandchildren, Tommy Jr. Ravera and Waylon Ravera; his brother and best friend, Philip (Debbie) Browning, as well as his brothers, Steve Browning and Scott Browning. He also leaves behind his beloved dog and "favorite child," Callie Browning.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Turlock Funeral Home. Following the service, Chris will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park.
Chris will be remembered for his humor, craftsmanship, and the joy he brought to those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
