Chris Carlson

Chris Carlson, 51 of Parker, passed away on August 3, 2022. Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the Twisted Pines Venue, Parker with a Prayer Service starting at 7:00 PM. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be given to a charity at a later date in Memory of Chris. Arrangements provided by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home. The family requests that the public wears either Husker Red or Duke Blue for visitation.
Chris was born on June 11, 1971 to Dennis and Patricia (Leary) Carlson in Primghar, IA. He joined older siblings David, Dottie, and Dennis Jr., and followed by Claudia. Chris was baptized in 1971 at St. Agatha Catholic Church in Howard. He graduated from Pierre High School in 1990 and started working construction soon after. He was working for Seal Pros. as an Asphalt Supervisor.
On October 12, 1996, Chris was united in marriage to Lisa Overby. To this union, three children were born Hannah, Connor, and Morgen. Besides spending time with his family and friends, Chris loved to go fishing, and enjoyed goose and pheasant hunting. He was a fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Duke Blue Devils, and even cheered for the Minnesota Vikings, just like his Dad.
Chris is survived by his wife Lisa; children Hannah (Jordan) Strong of Omaha, NE, Connor and Morgen of Parker; mother Patricia Carlson; Siblings David (Laurie) of Yankton, Dottie (Doug) Hicks of Athens, AL, Dennis Jr. of Sacramento, CA, and Claudia (Eric) Wiedmeier of Selz, ND; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Axel. Chris was preceded in death by his father Dennis and his grandparents.
