Chris Greene, age 65, of Mountain City, TN passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, April 18, 2025 at his home. Chris was born September 4, 1959 in Caldwell County, NC, to Chloe Eggers Greene and the late Gaither Greene. In addition to his father, Chris was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Camden Milan Isaacs and by his son-in-law, William Isaacs.
Chris was an electrician in North Carolina and had worked at the IRC plant, Vermont American, Appalachian Brian Estates, Tanger Outlets and later at the Columbus McKinnon plant. He was a faithful member at Calvary Baptist Church and was also a Sunday school teacher.
Those left to cherish his memories include his mother, Chloe Wyatt (Jim); step-mother, Judy Greene; wife, Robin Wilcox Greene; daughter, Christina Isaacs; son, James Greene; grandchildren, Kyle, Joseph and Leland; brother, Tony Greene (Jenny); niece, Emily; nephew, Silas; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon at Calvary Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 12:00 noon with Pastor Steven Spencer officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow from Johnson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kyle Isaacs, Zek Watson, Brandon Clark, Mason Wilcox, Adam Leonard, Dale Casey and Billy Reece. Honorary pallbearers are Cecil Perry, Clint Robinson, Tater McQueen and Ethan “Potlicker” McQueen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1354 Cold Springs Rd., Mountain City, TN 37683.
