Christopher Douglas Hough, 49 of Arnold, Nebraska passed away suddenly and went to be with our Lord November 25, 2025.
Chris was a loving husband, dad, son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson and friend.
He loved spending time with his family. Chris married the love of his life Mindy in 2015. They were blessed with two beautiful children, Hunter (9) and Brynley (6). Chris enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, water sports and many other activities with his wife and kids.
Chris was born on September 3, 1976, to Bob & Karen Hough. He grew up on the farm outside of Arnold. He attended Arnold Public School, where he enjoyed wrestling and involvement in church youth group and camps. Chris graduated from AHS in 1995. He went on to attend UNL, then began working in sales. He spent many years in auto sales, then fuel and agronomy. Being an active part of the Arnold community was important to Chris. He really liked living in Arnold and working at Country Partners. He loved coaching youth sports with the kids and previously serving as an EMT with the volunteer fire department.
Chris will be remembered by all as such a good guy. He was special to us all.
Chris is survived by his wife Mindy Hough, son Hunter and daughter Brynley. Parents Bob & Karen Hough of Arnold, NE. Brother Mike (Tara) Hough of Waconia, MN. Sister Lacy (Rob) McCarthy of Coeur d Alene, ID. Nieces & nephews. Grandmother Betty Cole of Arnold NE. Aunts and Uncles. In-Laws Steve & Jeanette Graff of Arnold, NE and many other cousins, family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his sister Lynnette, paternal grandparents Louis Hough and Marilyn Hardin. maternal grandfather Doug Cole, uncles Mark Cole and John Rockwell.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 5:00 pm at the Baptist Church in Arnold. Memorials are suggested to the Family or Arnold EMT’s.
A visitation and time to greet the family will be held on Friday November 28, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Baptist Church in Arnold. Govier Brothers Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Online words of remembrance or condolences may be left at www.govierbrothers.com
