Monroe, Utah - Christopher Mont Peterson, of Monroe, passed away on December 26, 2025 after a 5 week battle with severe Pancreatitis.
Chris was born December 13, 1980 to Monte and Pamela Kouns Peterson. He was the eldest of 4. Chris had such a light and love for everyone he met. All that knew him loved him. He had such an amazing personality, which we will all miss.
He found his sweetheart Amanda Crowley later in life and became an instant dad of 4 beautiful children. They were the light of his life. He loved being a father and was ecstatic about becoming a Grandfather this coming March. Chris was an avid lover of the outdoors and felt happiest in nature. Chris had a way of brightening up those around him. He had such a wonderful sense of humor and was loved by so many. Our hearts and the hearts of all who knew him are aching at this time with the loss of such a special man.
Chris is survived by his wife of 10 years Amanda, and children Marci Rasmussen (Duke), Nevaeh Kelley, Urijah Kelley, and Alissa Kelley. He is also survived by his parents Monte and Pam Peterson, sisters Jillian (Dane) Sorenson, Mindi Busk, and brother Coby (Kendra) Peterson. As well as many other family members.
He is proceeded in death by his Grandparents Clemonte and Romona Peterson, Blaine and Vespa Hatch, Uncles Bret Kouns and Clark Hatch. His nephew Brayden Smith. Along with many amazing friends and loved ones who passed before.
Funeral services for Chris will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 3, 2026 in the Monroe LDS Stake Center. Friends may call for viewing from 6-8:00 P.M. on Friday January 2, 2026 at the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West, in Richfield, and at the stake center from 10-11:30 A.M. the morning of the services.
Burial will be in the Monroe Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
